Effects of Dasha of Planets

Dasha of planets are considered to be extremely important in astrology. Due to these planets, we see a lot of ups and downs in our lives. Dashas affect our lives in many different ways. Dashas are a medium to give results for Karma in previous lives. Instead of Mahadashas, Dashas based on Nakshatras are more popular. According to Vedang astrology, Nakshatra of a particular day is the one in which Moon is present on that particular day. Mahadasha of the Lord of this particular Nakshatra is considered to be present on the day you are born. Dasha and Mahadasha of every planet is evident in our lives from time to time.

Mahadasha of a planet which will begin first is analyzed through the Nakshatra in which Moon is present on the day you are born and the Lord of that Nakshatra. Many changes can be noticed in Dasha cycle from time to time. If a planet’s Dasha is present when you are born, it should not be considered that you have received results related to that Dasha. It is possible that you received only a small percentage of results during Dasha.

In Dasha cycle, Vimshottari Dasha is the first. It is a complete dasha of a planet. It includes Antar Dasha of other planets, Pratyantar Dasha, Sukshma Dasha and Pran Dasha. During Mahadasha of a planet, each planet brings its Antar Dasha. Pran Dasha has the shortest duration. Mahadasha has the longest duration. One cycle of Mahadasha completes in 120 years. The first Dasha is based on Janma Nakshatra.

Effects of Dasha

According to astrology, every planet gives results according to its Dasha or Antar Dasha. Planets have immense power and therefore, they can give auspicious as well as inauspicious results. They give complete results during Dasha. The term Mahadasha signifies a period in which a planet is most powerful. It is positioned in a Kundali on the basis of auspicious or inauspicious results. Dasha of a sign’s own planet, Mool trikon planet or exalted planet is considered to be auspicious. Vedic astrology talks about a lot of different Dashas. However, simplest and most popular of all is Vimshottari Dasha. Sun is the Karak planet for soul, Moon for mind, Mars for strength, Mercury for intelligence, Jupiter for living beings, Venus for women and Saturn for longevity. Therefore, their Mahadashas should be analyzed in accordance with location, time and situation.

A planet’s Mahadasha includes Dashas of different planet. These are known as Antar-Dasha. A person gets results on the basis of the planet under influence of Mahadasha as well as the Lord of Antar Dasha. During a planet’s Mahadasha, its own Antar Dasha will be first. We also have to analyze Pratyantar Dasha for more accuracy. It can tell us about good or bad incidents. During a planet’s Mahadasha, Antar Dasha of an enemy, malefic or debilitated planet is considered to be inauspicious. Antar Dasha of an auspicious planet during Dasha of an auspicious planet gives auspicious results.
