Complexities of life have increased in modern times and it has becomes more important to consult astrology for auspicious Muhurta for travelling. According to the astrologers assessment of Muhurta before going on a journey makes it easier to achieve the objective of the voyage.

Journey Naksahtra

In astrology Ashwini, Punarvasu, Hast, Punya, Anuradha, Shravan, Ghanishtha and Revati Nakshatra are considered benefic for journeys, that is it is good to travel in these nakshatras. Of these Nakshatras Ashwini, Hast, Punya, Anuradha are most favourable while Purvabhadrapad, Uttara Bhadrapad, Purvashada, Uttara Ashada, Purva Falguni, Jayeshtha, Mool, Shatbhisha and Rohini Nakshatra are considered average for travelling. Favourable nakshatras must always be chosen for journeys whenever possible.

Muhurta Journey day

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and Friday are considered promising Muhurtha days for a tour, while Sunday, Tuesday and Saturday are average days. A point to note here is that a girl must not go to her in-laws’ place or her parents’ house on a Friday.

Muhurta Yatra Lagna

Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces ascendants are considered favourable for journeys and travel. But some combinations of ascendants (lagna) and tithis must be avoided for travel like nanda tithi i.e. it is best to avoid travelling when Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Capricorn ascendants fall on the first, sixth and the eleventh dates. Bhadra tithi or Aquarius and Pisces ascendants on second, seventh and tenth tithis are also not good.

Journeys must also be avoided on Jaya tithi i.e. if Gemini or Virgo lagna are on third, eighth and thirteenth tithi. Aries or Cancer lagna on fourth, ninth and fourteenth tithi i.e. Rikta tithi is unlucky for travelling. Scorpio and Aquarius lagna on Poorna tithi or fifth, tenth, poornima (full moon) are also not good for journeys. According to astrology travelling at these times is generally not fruitful.

Muhurta for special journey

We may go for some special journey in life for religion, earning money, work and salvation. Religious journey is most auspicious in Ashwini, Punya, Akshlesha, Vishakha, Ghanishtha and Shatbhisha Nakshatra.

Journey for financial affairs

One must go for business travel in Bharni, Punarvasu, Magha, Swati, Jayeshtha, Shravan and Purvabhadrapad Nakshatra.

Muhurta Journey for marriage

Ardra, Purva Falguni, Chitra, Mool, Abhijit, Uttara Bhadrapad and Kritika Nakshatra are favourable in this regard.

Muhurta Journey for Nirvana

No one can say anything certain about life and death. Even then it is believed that people who die in Rohini, Mrigshira, Hast, Revati, Purvashada and Uttara Falguni Nakshatra get Nirvana.
