Astrology plays an important role in our lives. It has been around since the ancient times. People can get information about their future and present through astrology. They can determine auspicious times for important events and they can perform remedies to maintain auspiciousness of planets. As the value of astrology has increased, the number of deceptive astrologers who mislead people to earn money has also increased. Here, we will discuss some facts people are scared of.

Kalsarpa Yoga or Kalasarpa Dosha

People fear Kalsarpa Dosha due to some deceptive astrologers. Astrology is born from Vedas and Kalsarpa Yoga or Kalasarpa Dosha is not mentioned in the scriptures of Vedas. It is not mentioned even in the Bhrigu Samhita, Parashar Sanhita and Ravan Sanhita.

Western astrology says that there are no planets named Rahu and Ketu in the constellation. As per Vedic astrology, Rahu and Ketu are shadow planets and they don’t have their own identity. When Rahu is alone, it will have the influence of Saturn and if Ketu is alone, it will have the influence of Mars. Therefore, people need not be afraid of these planets.

As per another school of thought, when all the planets are placed between Rahu and Ketu in a person’s horoscope this Yoga forms. If any planet moves out from in between Rahu and Ketu then Kalsarpa Yoga does not form in the horoscope. Here it is important to note the degree of the planet which has moved out. It should have degrees higher than that of Rahu-Ketu otherwise the native will continue to be influenced by Kalasarpa Dosha.

Kalasarpa Dosha forms when Rahu-Ketu are placed in the second, sixth, eighth or eleventh house and all the planets are placed on one side of the hemisphere. Although, if all seven planets are placed in the opposite direction then Ardhachandra Yoga forms instead of Kalasarpa Dosha in the horoscope. It is because these are the shadow planets and they give results according to the other plane.

Manglik Dosha

If Mars is placed in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house in the birth-chart, then the native has Manglik Dosha in the birth-chart. Generally, Manglik Dosha is checked at the time of marriage. People think that Mars is a malefic planet and it always gives inauspicious results. But in reality, Mars is a vicious planet instead of a malefic planet. Manglik people are simple in nature, courageous and they always perform their duties.

While considering the marriage compatibility between a boy and girl, even if all other attributes match but there is a mismatch in the Manglik status, the marriage between them will be considered inappropriate.

It is believed that a Manglik should only marry another Manglik, the idea being that two negatives Manglik Doshas cancel each other out, creating a positive. There are different views by scholars in astrology on determining if a person is Manglik or otherwise. In south India Mars in the second house is also considered a Manglik. Manglik Dosha is also called Kuja Dosha, Bhom Dosha or Angaraka Dosha.

How Manglik Dosha affects a native?

  • Delay the marriage of the native
  • Create disturbances in marital life
  • In the worst cases, it may cause the death of the spouse. Mars in the eighth house of the female native will adversely affect the longevity of married life as the eighth house is Manglayasthan of the bride. From here Mars aspects second house which is regarded as the eighth house of her husband.
  • Mars in the twelfth house which is a house of intimacy depletes its significations and has an impact on the seventh house by its aspect. The twelfth house is sixth from the seventh house is the house of disease for the bride. Twelfth house is also the eighth from the fifth house of children, so Mars in twelfth will create havoc all around the family. The seventh house is the house of conjugal relations and marital happiness which are spoiled by Mars if proper matching is not done before fixing the marriage.
  • Mars in the fourth house will disrupt family happiness and consequently cause separation between husband and wife because from the fourth house it will aspect the seventh house. Apart from this, the position of Sun, Saturn and Rahu/Ketu in the 1/7 axis will have an impact on marital relations.
  • Cancellation Of Manglik Dosha

The Manglik Dosha or Kuja Dosha is said to be canceled in the birth chart of a native if:

  • Mars is placed in Aries, Leo, Scorpio, Cancer, Sagittarius, Pisces and Aquarius signs and/or their Lagnas.
  • Mars is placed in the 2nd house or the signs of Gemini and Virgo.
  • Mars is placed in the 4th house or the signs of Aries and Scorpio.
  • Mars is placed in the 7th house or the signs of Cancer and Capricorn.
  • Mars is placed in the 8th house or the signs of Sagittarius and Pisces.
  • Mars is placed in the 12th house or the signs of Taurus and Libra.
  • Association of Mars with Jupiter and Saturn in certain cases cancels the Dosha
  • Retrograde Mars does not cause Dosha.
  • Mars is placed in the 4th or 8th house of an Aquarius ascendant.
  • When benefic Jupiter or Venus is in the ascendant.
  • Mars is aspected by or is in conjunction with Jupiter or Moon.
  • Mars is in conjunction or aspected by Sun, Mercury, Saturn, Rahu.
