Man has done various important researches in the area of spirituality and philosophy like in other fields. Astrology is one of the subjects which is associated with spirituality and philosophy. Many people have done various researches in the field of astrology, explored new things and increased knowledge. Vedic Astrology is considered most authentic among various Indian systems but it is difficult to understand. Therefore, to make it easy and simple many astrologers have tried to give it a new look.
One of the methods of astrology is krishnamurthy system (KP System) of astrology, which was discovered in the 20th century in South India. The creator of this method is astrologer K S Krishnamurthy. This method is a part of Prashna kundali. In this method the Ascendant is determined on the basis of numbers to make predictions. Numbers from 1 to 249 are included to determine the Ascendant. 12 signs are divided into sub-parts and sub-sub parts are given these numbers from 1 to 249.
If you have any question to ask according to this method, then the astrologer will ask you to choose one number from 1 to 249. Your choice of number will determine the Ascendant in your birth-chart. Other planets are also located with the same method of Vedic Astrology.
If we make a comparison between the method of Krishnamurthy and Vedic Astrology, we will find that number is the basis to determine the Ascendant in Krishnamurthy whereas in Vedic Astrology birth-time is the basis of determining the Ascendant.
Another difference between the method of Vedic Astrology and krishnamurthy is that Nakshatras are given more importance to make predictions in krishnamurthy, while in Vedic Astrology these 27 Nakshatras are given less importance.
While the nine planets are given importance in Vedic Astrology, they are given secondary importance in krishnamurthy. In krishnamurthy one sign is divided into many sub-parts. The Nakshatra of the lord of destiny is obtained which is used to make predictions from Prashna Kundali.
Astrologers believe that krishnamurthy made these divisions on the basis of the method of Vimshottari dasha. Just as in Vimshottari there are periods and many sub-periods, similarly in Krishnamurthy the order follows as: the lord of sign, the lord of Nakshatras and the Nakshatra of the lord of destiny.
Astrologers also say that those who are keen to make various researches and experiments in astrology will get satisfaction by working on the method of krishnamurthy. They can help make progress in the field of Astrology.
