The child will become strong and soft hearted in future by the blessings of Sun and Moon. Astrology suggests some Muhurutha in which this ritual should be performed. This muhurtha is determined by the Nakshatras, Tithis and days.
Assessment of Nakshatras
As everybody knows that this ritual should be performed between the twelfth day from birth to the fourth month but the right Nakshatra should also be present in the Muhurutha. Nakshatras should be Shravan, Mrigshira, Hast, Anuradha, Pushya, Punarvasu, Ashwini, Revathi or Ghanishtha because these are the auspicious Nakshatras for this occasion.
Tithis (Dates According to the Hindu Calender)
Tithis are also important as Nakshatras. Astrology says that all the Tithis are auspicious for this Sanskara except fourth, ninth and fourteenth Tithi. No Moon day is also inauspicious for this ceremony.
Day
Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are the auspicious days for this Sanskara. Tuesday and Saturday are not good to perform this ritual.
Negation
In astrology, stars of the third, fifth and ninth are not auspicious. Bhadra tithi is also inauspicious for this Sanskara. This Sanskara should not be performed on the day when inauspicious Yoga forms.
Special Sanskaras
Some other Sanskaras are also performed in the mean time of Nishkraman Sanskara. One of the Sanskaras is performed on the sixth day from the birth which is known as the “shashti Pujan”. This worship is performed to get the blessings of Devi Durga. One of the Sanskaras named “Dola Arohan” should be performed on any one day from the tenth, twelfth, sixteenth, eighteenth or thirty-second day. The above mentioned Nakshatras, Tithis and Vaar are auspicious for this Sanskara. The Nakshatras which are five in front and seven behind of Sun are auspicious for this ritual.
