Analysis of the Tenth House through Prashna Kundali

We all have some desires and ambitions. Sometimes we get apprehensive about whether our ambitions and desires will be fulfilled or not. That is why we consult astrologers who make predictions by analyzing our Kundali. Astrologers use our birth-chart or Prashna-chart. In terms of calculations and principles there are some similarities and some differences between birth-chart and Prashna Chart. In Prashna Kundali the transits of planets are considered, while in birth-chart Vimshottari Dasha, Sadesati of Saturn and planetary strength are also considered.

Astrologers consider the aspect of Moon on the tenth house to confirm all the queries related to work. The position of Ascendant and Ascendant Lord is also considered. Five facts are required for the precise analysis of the Prashna Kundali:

Prashna Kundali is created on the basis of the time when a person asks his question. Ascendant of that particular time is important for creating the Prashna Kundali. Another method of Prashna Kundali is Krishnamurthy, in which the Ascendant is determined differently.

In this method 1 to 249 numbers determine the Ascendant. When a person asks any question to astrologer, he has to select any number between 1 to 249 on the basis of which the astrologer determines the Ascendant. However the positions of planets is similar to the positions of planets in Vedic Astrology.

Let us discuss about the tenth house in Prashna kundali:

According to the principles of astrology, the tenth house is the house of employment, job, government sector, respect, honor, father and other important aspects of life.

If you ask an astrologer whether you will get a government job, private job or run a business then he will assess the tenth house/tenth Lord in your birth-chart. If the Ascendant/Ascendant Lord, tenth house/ tenth Lord and Moon are located in auspicious positions, then you will get a good employment or government job.

The aspect of Moon on the tenth house is important for the fulfillment of your desires related to work. But if the Ascendant house/Ascendant Lord, tenth house/tenth Lord are weak and malefic in the birth-chart, you may not be able to make it through to the government job or get a good employment.

Astrologers give importance to fixed Ascendant to analyze your success at work. If the Ascendant/Ascendant Lord is located in any of these four signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius) in the Prashna Kundali, you will be successful at work. If a moveable Ascendant is located in your Kundali, then you may have to struggle a lot and face several obstacles.

The placement of the Sun in favourable positions like friendly sign, auspicious house in Navamsa and Dashmansh ensures employment.The position of the Moon and the tenth house is assessed in the Prashna Kundali to confirm all your queries related to work and success.

Presence of the Moon or tenth Lord in eleventh house indicates that the native will run a business, for this eleventh house should be strong, as it is the house of gains from work whether employment or business. Employment or profession determines the financial status of the native which is a mixture of Bhagya, Karma and Labh. This means the 9th,10th and 11th house respectively.The Moon or Ascendant connected with these ensures fulfilment of desires of the native.

Permanent Employment:
The association of Lagna Lord with the tenth Lord will ensure a permanent employment. Saturn’s presence in a Kendra house also ensures permanent job or employment. An Ishraf Yoga between the Lagna Lord and 10th Lord gives temporary employment. Whenever Lagna Lord, 10th Lord are weak, combust or debilitated it will lead to temporary employment only.

Place of Employment:
You may wonder if your employment will require you to relocate or will you always be working from your hometown. This will depend on the strongest planet placed in Kendra of the horoscope and the direction in which it is located in the horoscope. If no planet is in the Kendra then ascertain from the rising sign. If Lagna and 10th Lord are positioned in Lagna or the 10th house then the employment is going to be in the same place, but if placed in the 12th house then it may be in a place away from hometown.

Loss of employment:
Lagna Lord and 10th Lord in association with a retrograde planet or slow moving planet in 4th house will result in loss of employment. In case Lagna Lord or 10th Lord have Ithasala Yoga with the Lord of debilitation sign, then this too will also lead to loss of employment or suspension.

Transfer and change of employment:
Transfer is also called Cheuti which means fall from position. A moveable sign in Lagna and the 10th house means a transfer from the present place. Involvement of slow moving planets like Jupiter or Saturn will indicate no transfer. Association of Lagna Lord or 10th Lord with 3rd or 9th will result in to transfer to a nearby place.
