Lal Kitab is an ancient book of Hindu Mythology. It is believed that originally Lankapati Raavan got this book from ‘Arun’, the charioteer of the Sun. Later, it reached to Arab countries and was written in Arabic. Some part of it is completely lost. But still, the major part exists. The Urdu version of Lal Kitab also known as ‘Arun Sanhita’ is present in the library of Pakistan.

Lal Kitab was popular amongst neophytes and masters of astrology equally. One of the basic principle of Lal Kitab is that the cosmic energy of the planets cannot be seen but one can feel the energy within.

In Modern age, Lal kitab was discovered on the lying skin of a dead man without any name of the author mentioned on it. It was found in the caves of Tibet. This book was then collected by the Persians and then was sent to Iran. Later on, this book was translated in Urdu and Hindi.

Lal Kitab is an important treatise on palmistry and astrology. This book essentially is about palmistry. Normally, palmists talk of lines and mounts on the hand. The astrological contents are added to it to reflect the findings of the palmist to corroborate it. The palm has been divided into 12 parts, similar to the natural Zodiac divided into 12 signs.

Lal Kitab is popularly known for the simple and effective remedies which are considered to make its effect in a very short duration. It is believed that the great scientist Sir Isaac Newton created this on the Natal chart on the basis of Lal Kitab. Then he realised that Horoscope drawn on the basis of the lines on the hand can depict the good and bad on a person.

As per Lal kitab, in case of an afflicted Sun, throwing a copper coin in flowing water is very useful. Similarly, there are many more easy, effective and instant remedies present in the Lal Kitab which can bring surprising results in life.
