The devotees who observe fast on Jyeshtha Sakranti should also donate things related to summers such as earthen pot, rice, wheat, food, milk, sugar, clothes, fruits, fan etc. Lord Vishnu is worshipped on this day. The devotee should chant “ Om Namoh Bhagwate Vasudevaya” and recite Lord Vishnu’s name strot to get his blessings.

According to the astrologers, the person who takes early morning bath on Sakranti and make donations is blessed with physical, mental and spiritual benefits. Establish the idol of Lord Sun and worship him with Lotus flower. The devotee is blessed with prosperous results by observing fast and doing puja with proper rituals on Jyeshtha Sakranti. Offer fruits, rice, sandalwood, water etc to Deity while performing puja. Invite a Brahmin at home and serve him food along with dakshina.
