The devotees who observe fast on Jyeshtha Sakranti should also donate things related to summers such as earthen pot, rice, wheat, food, milk, sugar, clothes, fruits, fan etc. Lord Vishnu is worshipped on this day. Offer fruits, rice, sandalwood, water etc to Deity while performing puja. Invite a Brahmin at home and serve him food along with dakshina. Jyeshtha Sakranti is one of the most auspicious occasions in Hindu culture.

Significance of Jyestha Sankranti

Jyeshtha is the third month of the year according to the Hindu calender. Jyeshtha Sakramti is celebrated in this month. It is a month when Summers. Holy river Ganga is also known as Jyeshtha since it is the largest of all rivers and carries magical qualities. It is considered auspicious to take bath in the holy river on Jyeshtha Sakranti.
