The shape of your hand and your personality - Palmistry
Importance of Shapes of Hands in Palmistry
A hand should be studied in its entirety in palmistry. The study of a palm is incomplete without studying the shapes of hand. In this webcast, we will talk about various shapes of hand. We will also discuss the general characters of an individual which can be analysed with it.
The Elementary and Spatulate type of hand
The shape of a hand can be more readily observed than the lines of palm and it is therefore more interesting to read the character of stranger while sitting at a public place.
The elementary or lowest type of a hand is found in people of lowest mentality. It is coarse and clumsy with large, thick and heavy palm. The fingers and nails are short and clumsy. The palm in such a hand is so short that it barely reaches the base of fingers.
The person with an elementary hand depicts lack of enthusiasm, imagination and creativity. Such people are only concerned with their existence and avoid getting into an unusual situation. They live an aimless life and live in their comfort zones and resist to get out of it.
A hand in which each finger resembles a spatula or the palm is unusually broad at the base of fingers is known as spatulate hand or active nervous type of hand.
The spatulate hand when is hard and firm indicates a restless and excitable person. When the hand is soft and flabby, it denotes a restless but irritable spirit. This kind of hand of belongs to great navigators, explorers, discoverers and also of great engineers and mechanics.
The Philosophic and Conic type of hand
The philosophic hand is usually long and angular with bony fingers. The fingers in such a hand are well-developed and nails are long. It is not a favourable kind of hand as far the wealth is concerned but it is favourable for acquiring knowledge.
The individuals of such kind are distinct from the other people and prefer privacy. They are silent, secretive, deep thinkers, considerate and are proud of themselves. This kind of hand is most prominently found among priests, poets and mystic preachers.
The conic hand has a medium-sized palm, tapering fingers and conical nails. The nails are pointed and the hand as a whole gives the appearence of a cone.
The people with a conic hand are impulsive and instinctive. Such people are clever in thinking and are quick learners. Such kind of people win people in conversations and grasp any subject very quickly. A conic hand usually represents actors, actresses, singers, orators and painters.
The Psychic and mixed hand
The psychic hand is the most beautiful and most unfortunate hand among all the seven hands and it is very rare to find. It is narrow in formation, long and thin. The fingers are long, slender, tapering and the nails are almond-shaped.
Individuals with a psychic hand are purely fanciful and idealistic in nature. Such people are gentle, benevolent, considerate and compassionate. They have no idea of how to be practical, business-like or logical.
The mixed hand is called so because such kind of hand cannot be classified as square, spatulate, conic and philosophic hand. It has miscellaneous features such as the palm can be of square shape while the fingers can be pointed.
This kind of hand represents a person who has versatility of thoughts and flexibility in implementation of purpose. He may play some instrument fairly well, may paint a little but will not be best at anything.
The Square Hand
The hand which has square palm and fingers is known as a square hand. This kind of hand is very common and is found in many walks of life. The nails in such type of hands are generally short and square.
People with such hands are disciplined, respect authority and are well-organised. They are orderly, precise in manner and punctual mainly because of the influence of their customs and habits.
These people are blessed with great persistence but are often obstinate. They are not at all inclined towards arts and seek material pleasure in everything.
