Introduction : Nakshatra and its importance in Career Planning
The term Nakshatras is formed by the union of Naksha and tara. Naksha means Map and tara means star. So, Nakshatra is the place where the planet resides. Moon stays one day in each nakshatra. So in the Natal chart the position of Moon at the time of birth depicts the rising Nakshatra at the time of birth.
It is believed that, Nakshatra creates the required environment and planets are the precipitating forces. The Moon has special significance in a person’s actions because every action is the follow up of the thoughts and feelings and these thoughts and feelings are generated from Moon.
Classification of Nakshatras
There are 27 Nakshatra dividing all zodiac signs from Aries to Pisces occupying 13 degree 20 mins. the 360 degrees are divided equally among 12 Zodiac sign. Each zodiac sign covers 30 degrees.
The Nakshatras can be classified on various factors, The factor considered in this presentation is the basic attribute or primary motivation i.e. Dharma, Artha, Kama Moksha.
Nakshatra with primary Motivation (type) as Dharma -Ashwini, Pushya
On the basis of Primary Motivation there are seven Nakshatras that comes under the Dharma. These seven Nakshatras are Ashwini, Pushy, Ashlesha, Vishakha, Dhanishtha, Shatbhisha.
Ashwini is the first Nakshatra ruled by the Ketu. This Nakshatra indicates profession in police, Military,Iron Industries, Teaching, Medical surgery and Railways.
Pushya is the eighth Nakshatra ruled by Saturn. This Nakshatra indicates profession related to oil, petroleum, mining, forest department, Agriculture, construction, night shifts.
The other Dharma Nakshatras - Ashlesha, Vishaka, Anuradha
Ashlesha, the 9th Nakshatra is ruled by Mercury. The suitable professions for natives born in Ashlesha Nakshatra are business, trading, artist, musicians, Journalist etc. These natives can also represent their country as Ambassador.
