Calculation of Scorpio & Aquarius Sign

In the last chapter, we told you that according to Jaimini Char Dasha, calculation of Scorpio and Aquarius signs is different from the calculation of other signs. Some specific rules have been introduced for the calculation of these signs which are as follows :

Calculation of Scorpio Sign (Direct Dasha Kram)

The order of Scorpio’s Dasha Kram is direct.

• For the assessment of any Kundali, you should first see the house in which Mars and Ketu are present. Mars and Ketu have been considered to be the Lords of Scorpio sign. If Mars is in the Scorpio sign and Ketu is in a different sign, you should ignore Mars and start counting the Dasha Varsha from Scorpio to Ketu. Decrease the number of Varshas by one. The remaining Varshas will be Scorpio's Dasha Varsha.

OR

• If Ketu is in the Scorpio sign and Mars is in a different sign, you should ignore the previous condition. In such a condition, you should ignore Ketu and start counting the Dasha Varsha from Scorpio to Mars. Decrease the number of Varshas by one. The remaining Varshas will be Scorpio’s Dasha Varsha.

OR

• If both Mars and Ketu are in the Scorpio sign, the sign will go through a Dasha of whole twelve years. Not a single year will be decreased from this number in such a condition.

OR

• If both Mars and Ketu are in the Scorpio sign, then the stronger planet should be considered. Some rules are present for calculating the strength of both the planets.
• If there is a planet with either one of Mars or Ketu, the planet with another planet is stronger than the other one. For example, if in a Kundali, Mars is with one or more planets, then Mars will be considered stronger than Ketu. Scorpio’s signs Dasha will be calculated by starting from Scorpio and ending on Mars.
• If in a Kundali, Ketu is with one or more planets, then Ketu will be considered stronger than Mars. Scorpio sign’s Dasha will be calculated by starting from Scorpio and ending on Ketu.
• If in a Kundali, both Mars and Ketu are with the same number of planets, the degrees of both the planets will be considered. The planet with the higher number of degrees left will be considered stronger. Scorpio sign’s Dasha will be calculated by starting from Scorpio and ending on the stronger planet.
• If in a Kundali, both Mars and Ketu are without any planets, the degrees of both will be considered. The planet with the higher number of degrees left will be stronger. If the degrees and minutes of both the planets are the same, seconds will be considered.

Calculation of Aquarius Sign

The order of Dasha Kram of Aquarius sign is indirect. Dasha of Aquarius sign is calculated in the same way as the Scorpio sign. The only difference is that you consider Saturn and Rahu instead of Mars and Ketu. The sign will be Aquarius. The counting from Aquarius to the planet will be in indirect order. The counting will be started from Aquarius to Capricorn sign.
