Bloody planet-Red Planet

‘Bloody’ is the adjective form of blood. The literal meaning bloody is ‘stained with blood’ or ‘accompanied by or giving rise to bloodshed’ or ‘colour of blood’. The astrological meaning of ‘bloody’ with reference to a planet is a hot, dry and fiery planet.

The Greeks named the fourth planet ‘Mars’ as the ‘bloody planet’ or a ‘red planet’ because this planet shines in sky with red colour resembling blood. Mars is a hot, dry, fiery and violent planet.

Mars was a Roman war god and the symbol formed of this planet was also a warrior with shield and spear in his hand. According to Greeks “like a badge of blood in the sky, the red planet has long stood for the gods of war.” Romans named the third month of the year ‘March’ , in the honour of Mars.

As per the medical astrology, Mars rules blood and blood related troubles. Mars rules all blood related medical problems such as the injuries, cuts, piles, tumours, wounds, hemorrhage, bleeding etc. The accidents are also caused in case of afflicted Mars or during the period of Mars.

The word ‘martial’ pertaining to war came from Mars, the god of war.

The violent aspect of Mars is not only that it causes fevers and sudden attacks of illness but it can also cause gruesome accidents because of its quick and unexpected actions. Many unusual situation can be avoided by keeping the temper even and not becoming confused or absent-minded.

It should be remembered that Mars represent a physical force. It depends on the native to utilize the force in the positive way. It can give native vitality, courage and ambition and at the same time make him unreasonable, intolerant, impulsive and too hasty in arriving at decisions.
