Method For Doing Mandal Shodhan in Sarvashtakavarga
The shodhya pind of planets is determined by doing shodhan of their respective bhinashtaka. Similarly, shodhya pinda of Sarvashtakavarga is also determined for better understanding of ashtakavarga. However, there are certain principles that one needs to follow while performing this shodhan. It should be noted that Mangal Shodhan is not performed in bhinashtakvarga. It can only only be performed for Sarvashtakavarga.
We will consider an example of a kundali to understand the method to perform mandal shodhan in Sarvashtakavarga. We have taken a kundli of Cancer ascendant. Mars is situated in its second house, Sun and Mercury are in the fifth house, Rahu and venus are in the sixth house, Moon in the seventh house, Jupiter in the eleventh house and ketu is in the twelfth house of the kundli.

Rules for Mandal Shodhana
Bindu counts of each sign in Sarvashtakvarga are divided into 12 parts. Make sure none of the sign has 0 bindus. If in any sign the sum of the bindus come in the multiplication of 12 i.e 12,24,36 etc, then dividing them by 12 gives 0 sheshphal . In this situation, 0 is replaced with 12. Other numbers are used as it is in sheshphal.
In the exsmple kundli, there are 24 bindus in the ascendant. Now dividing this count by 12 gives 0 sheshphal. In this situation, 12 will be written in place of 0 in the sheshphal table. Similarly, in the second hosue there are 27 bindus and the sheshphal for this house is 3. 3 will be written as it after mandal shodhan. The rule will remain same for other houses as well.
