On Planetary Influences

Planetary influences are the effects of planets on other planets depending on their place, position, aspect, constellation or strength. The Planetary influences can be broadly classified as positive or negative. The influence of planets can be classified as natural benefic influence and natural  malefic influence. Classification of influence is on the basis of the planet’s basic property. For instance, some are fiery, some are airy etc. Sect is an ancient concept in which the seven traditional planets, i.e, the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn are classified on the basis of astrological polarity, similar to masculine and feminine planets. The classification of the planets can also be done on the basis of gender.

The planets can also be classified on the basis of sect and the planets can also be classified on the basis of the benefic and malefic influence

Malefic Influence of the Planets

Mercury: Mercury influences are malefic for Aries, being the lord of 3rd and 6th house. For Cancer, Mercury being the lord of 3rd and 12th,  the lord of malefic houses is Mercury.
For Scorpio, Mercury has malefic influence being the lord of 8th and 11th lord.
For Aquarius except Mars and Mercury are partial malefics.

Jupiter: For Libra, Jupiter being the lord of 3rd and 6th has malefic influence. For Capricorn, Jupiter has malefic influence being the lord of 3rd and 12th house. For Taurus also, Jupiter being the lord of 8th and 11th has malefic influence.

Saturn: Saturn has malefic influence on Sagittarius being the lord of 2nd and 3rd house. Also for Pisces, Saturn is the lord of 11th and 12th lord has malefic influence.

Venus: Venus has malefic influence on Sagittarius being the lord of 6th and 11th house. Also for Pisces, Venus is the lord of 3rd and 8th house and gives malefic influence.

Mars: Mars has malefic influence on Gemini being the lord of 6th and 11th house. Also for Virgo Mars has malefic influence being the lord of 3th and 8th house.
The Sun and Moon are considered to have only benefic influences.
Rahu and Ketu are considered as both natural as well as functional malefic.

Benefic Influence of the Planets

Mercury : Mercury has partial benefic influence for Taurus, being the lord of 2nd and 5th house.
For Libra, Mercury being the lord of 9th house and 12th house is partial.

Jupiter: Jupiter is a partial benefic influence over Aries being the lord of the 9th and 11th house. For Leo also, Jupiter has Partial benefic influence being the lord of 5th house.

Saturn: Saturn has benefic influence on Taurus being the lord of 9th and 10th lord. Also for Libra,  Saturn is the lord of 4th and 5th lord.

Venus: Venus has benefic influence on Capricorn being the lord of 5th and 10th house. Also for  Aquarius, Venus is the lord of 4th and 9th house and gives benefic influence.

Mars: Mars has benefic influence on Cancer being the lord of 5th and 10th house. Also for Leo, Mars has benefic influence being the lord of 4th and 9th house.
