Magh Snan Fair

Fairs are organized in many holy places including Prayag, Uttarkashi, Haridwar etc. It is believed that due to the auspicious results of Magh Snan, Pratishthan Puri's King, Naresh got rid of his ugliness. It is also believed that Lord Indra was cursed by Saint Gautam. He was freed from his curse due to the auspicious results of Magh Snan.

Magh Snan fair is a very important fair from mythological point of view. This fair is organized on the day of Makar Sankranti. This occasion is celebrated with a lot of zeal and excitement in holy places all around India. A lot of religious and traditional activities are organized in this fair.

He should wake up early in the morning, take a bath and offer prayers. According to Puranas, all the rivers are equivalent to Ganga on this day.
