Lord Ganesha Reincarnation story
Shiva Purana explains the story about the birth of Lord Ganesha. According to this story, Goddess Parvati was once alone but wanted to take a bath. She wanted someone to guard the entrance so that no man could not enter the bathing area. Therefore, with the dirt of her body, she created a child and asked her to guard the entrance. Goddess Parvati asked the boy to not let anyone enter the bathing area till she is finished.
Lord Shiva approached the entrance but Lord Ganesha did not let him enter. Lord Shiva was furious and he cut Lord Ganesha’s head off his body. Goddess Parvati was very upset due to this. Lord Shiva asked his servants to visit the Earth and bring the head of the first organism that they encounter. His servants brought back an elephant’s head. Lord Shiva joined this head to Lord Ganesha’s body and gave him life.
