The smallest of changes in movements of planets make a big difference in astrology. It is very important to understand the impact of planets minutely. To do so, it is very important to observe the changes that take place minute by minute. For instance, when a planet starts moving retrograde or direct it has a marked impact. In this period both human beings and nature are affected in one way or the other. Sometimes the impact is seen at a very large scale and sometimes at a very minute level, but the impact is definite.

When a planet starts moving retrograde it primarily means that the planet has started moving opposite or backward. When a planet is transiting, it may either move away from the earth or may come closer to earth. When planets come too close to the earth, they appear to start moving retrograde as their pace does not match with the earth’s pace.

This phenomenon can be explained scientifically. Let us say you are sitting in a fast moving vehicle and simultaneously if there is another parallel vehicle that is not moving as fast then the other vehicle will appear to move in the opposite direction. In reality, that is not the case, the slow vehicle too is also moving in our direction only, but because of the difference in pace, it appears to be going in the opposite direction. This very situation is true for planets too.

Except for the Sun and the Moon, all planets move retrograde. Besides planets may at times move fast and may at times move slowly. Let us find out the changes in planetary paths in the year 2023.
