In Vedic astrology, there are a lot of different awasthas mentioned for each planet. These awasthas depend on the degrees of planets along with other strengths. One such is the Baaladi awastha. In this awastha, planets receive strength on the basis of their degrees.

In Baaladi awastha, the strength of a planet is different for when it is in a neutral sign and when it is in an uneven sign. The native receives results based on these strengths of the planets. In Baaladi awastha, the strength of the planets depends on the degrees and the signs in which the planet is. Signs are important because a planet gives different results for when it is in a neutral sign and when it is in an uneven sign.

During auspicious or inauspicious dasha, a planet gives results according to it’s awastha. These awasthas play a very important role in analyzing the results provided by planets.

To know about Baaladi awastha, 30 degrees of the sign are equally divided into five parts. One part includes 6 degrees. The strentgh of Baaladi awastha is different in neutral and uneven sign.

Baal awastha from 0 to 6 degrees
Kumaar awastha from 6 to 12 degrees
Yuva awastha from 12 to 18 degrees
Vriddh awastha from 18 to 24 degrees
Mrit awastha from 24 to 30 degrees

Vriddh awastha from 6 to 12 degrees

Planet in Baal awastha

If a planet is in its Baal awastha, it is usually weak in front of any child. The planet is not able to give maximum results. The planet gives results according to the house and sign in which it is placed.

Planet in Kumaar awastha

Kumaar awastha is considered to be better than Baal awastha. The planet is able to provide with some results in this awastha. The planet provides one-third of its results in this awastha.

Planet in Yuva awastha

Yuva awastha is considered to be very auspicious and strong. The planet provides maximum results in this awastha. In this awastha, a planet is as strong as a young boy. It provides with maximum and auspicious results during an auspicious dasha. For example, during the dasha of the Lord of the tenth house, a planet will provide with auspicious results if it is in Yuva awastha.

Planet in Vriddh awastha

A planet in this awastha is similar to an old person and is thus weak. The planet is not able to provide with results in this awastha. It even provides inauspicious results during dasha. For example, if an exalted planet is in Vriddh awastha, it does not give auspicious results.

Planet in Mrit awastha

A planet in Mrit awastha is like a dead person and does not give any results. During dasha, the planet does not give expected results. It provides results according to the house and sign in which it is placed. If the Lord of the ascendant is strong but in Mrit awastha, it may give health problems to the native.
