Dwadashi Tithi, in other words it is the twelfth day of the lunar month. On this day if the distance of the Sun from the Moon is from 133° to 144°, then it’s a Shukla Paksha Dwadashi and if the distance of the Moon from the Sun is 313° to 324°, then its Krishna Paksha Dwadashi. The Lord of this Tithi is Lord Vishnu. It is believed that the planet Mercury, a devotee to Lord Vishnu was born on this day. Dwadashi Tithi's direction is southwest and any work done in this direction give good results.

If Dwadashi Tithi falls on Sunday, it forms Kakrach and Dugdha Yoga. Both these Yogas are inauspicious. Those born with these Yogas should recite the Vishnu Sahasranam. This dilutes the negative impact of this Yoga. Worshipping Lord Shiva is also considered auspicious.

Til Dwadashi -

Sesame Dwadashi is celebrated on Dwadashi Tithi of Magha Month. On this day, Lord Vishnu is worshiped by lighting a lamp of sesame and chanting of the Mantra" Om Namah Bhagwate Vasudevay Namah”. In the morning, during sunrise, incense, sesame, flowers, and rice in a copper pan is offered to Sun God and the Mantra of Sun is chanted. On this day, donating sesame to Brahman, doing Havan, Yagya and remembering your ancestors is good for the native.

Vatsya Dwadashi -

In the Month of Bhadrapada, Krishna Paksha Dwadashi is celebrated as Vatsya Dwadashi. A fast is kept and Lord Vishnu is worshipped for the health and well being of a child and also by those who seek to be blessed by a child. On this day the cow and the calf are worshipped.

Vaman Dwadashi -

Shukla Dwadashi which falls in the month of Bhadrapada is celebrated as Vamana Dwadashi. On this date, Lord Vishnu took Vamana Avatar, this is a very important Avatar of Lord Vishnu. The Lord visits Raja Bali as a Bhrahman seeking the victory of “Devas” over “Danavs” as a boon. Worshipping Shri Hari with full dedication, complying all legitimate rules and donating to poor are considered beneficial on this day.
