Anang Trayodashi Fast 2020 Dates- Anang Trayodashi Fast Procedure (Kandarp Ishwar Mahadev Darshan)

Chaitra Shukla Paksha is called the Anang Trayodashi. In the year 2020, this fast will be observed on 6th April. This fast is dedicated to Lord Bhole Nath. Also, Kamdev and his wife Rati are worshipped in this fast. It is a fast of strength, devotion and love. This fast was begun by Kamdev and Rati.

Anang Trayodashi Fast Method

Person observing the fast Anang Trayodashi should wake up early in the morning and complete his routine work. Then, lord Shiva, goddess Parvati, Kamdev and Rati are worshiped. After Puja, Brahmans are offered food and donations as per the capacity. And, their blessings are taken. In the evening, once again all these God and Goddess are worshipped and food is eaten.

Anang Trayodashi Fast Story

After the self immolation of Sati in the Yagya of Daksha Prajapati, lord Shiva got very disturbed. He carried her dead body on his shoulder and started traveling. To finish the illusion of Sati, lord Vishnu fragmented her dead body. Then, lord Shiva got engaged in meditation. 

On the other side atrocities of demon Tarkasur were increasing day by day. He attacked on Devlok and defeated Devraj Indra. All God were upset about their condition. They approached Lord Brahma for help. Lord Brahma thought over it and said that only son of lord Shiva can kill Tarkasur. Hearing this, all of them got worried because Lord Shiva was meditating in grief of separation from Sati. Waking up lord Shiva and getting him married was next to impossible for all the Deities.

Kamdev decided to wake up Lord Shiva from from the trance. Kamdev succeeded and Samadhi of lord Shiva was broken. In turn, Kamdev lost his body. When all God told lord Shiva about Tarkasur, his anger came down and he realised his mistake.

Lord told Rati that kamdev is still alive but, he dose not have a body. Lord Shiva asked her to wait till Trayodashi. He said, when Vishnu will take birth as Krishna, then Kamdev will be born as Praduman,son of Krishna. 

Anang Trayodashi : Kandarp Ishwar Darshan

Kamdev is also known as Kandarp. Having Darshan of Kandarp Ishwar of Ujaain is considered very virtuous, on this day. The devotees who come here and have a vision of lord Shiva, get place in Dev Lok

Anang Trayodashi Mahatmya

When lord Shiva told Rati about getting back Kamdev in form of Praduman, he also said that person who will observe the fast of Anang Trayodashi in a systematic manner will get a happy married life. Their marital life will have peace, happiness and wealth. Observing this fast gives happiness of child.
