What is Line of Life
The line which rises from the mount of Venus, goes down the palm and encircles the mount of Venus is known as the line of life. It is considered the most controversial line on the palm due to its connection with the longevity of the person.
It represents vitality, vigour, physical health, immunity, diseases, longevity and general well-being.
Ideally, the line of life should be long, narrow and deep. It should be without irregularities, breaks or crosses of any kind. If you have such a life line, you’ll have a long and healthy life, free from diseases.
It is a common belief that line of life shows the exact age of an individual, but it’s not true. This line merely depicts the natural term of the life of a person apart from accidental influences.
General representations of the Line of Life
A long and a smooth life-line will give the person strong physical build. Such an individual will be full of vitality and vigor. It also indicates good functioning of all the organs and systems of the body.
The nature of an illness can also be predicted by this line. It also denotes whether a disease will be chronic or acute.
If there are hairlines criss-crossing the line of life, they tell of weaknesses and lack of vitality in the person. This also indicates that the person’s immunity will be low and he may fall ill quickly.
Representations of Life Line on the basis of Shape
When the line of life is broken or is made up of little pieces, it represents bad and irregular health. As this line gains smoothness and uniformity, health is also regained.
When it is broken in the left hand and is smooth in the right hand, it indicates some fatal illness but eventual recovery.
If the line of life is chained at the point from where it begins to below the mount of Jupiter, the person suffers from an acute illness in the childhood.
Signs on the life-line are very significant. An island on the line of life denotes illness or loss of health. Whenever a square is found on the line of life, it indicates escape from death, from sudden illness and sudden death.

When a line moves upwards towards the Mount of Jupiter from line of life, it represents rise in designation or moving a step higher at work place.
When a line rises from the the line of life and moves towards the mount of Mercury, it brings great success for businessmen and scientists.
When various lines intersect the line of life, it denotes the interference of relatives in the family life of a person. A cross on the line of life indicates sudden and acute illness.
When the head line is situated at some distance from the line of life at the point of origin, it represents an independent person who does not listen to anyone.
