As per Indian astrology, there are six positive zodiac signs and six negative zodiac signs. The negative signs are the even signs counted as 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12. These negative signs are Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn & Pisces.

The six positive Zodiac signs are odd signs numbered as 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11. These positive signs as Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius.They are also referred as male signs. A person born in one of these zodiac signs will inherit the characteristics of a male sign.

A native born in one of the negative zodiac signs will be very passive and receptive. You will be highly defensive. You will always be apprehensive and you will repress your feelings more as compared to positive sign natives.

If a woman's ascendant and Moon sign fall in even signs or a feminine sign, she will be lucky. While, if men are born with ascendant and moon sign in even sign or in a feminine sign, he appears more feminine. If his both signs fall in the even sign, he has womanly appearance.

Strength acquired by the tenancy of even & odd zodiacal signs in both Rasi & Navamsa is called as Ojayugma Rasyamsa Bala. Certain planets acquire strength in odd Signs while others gets strengthened in even Signs. Certain mathematical values are assigned to planets which become powerful in odd or even signs.

The values given are in 1/60 units called Shashtiyansha. Moon and Venus in even signs in both Rashi or navamsha attain a strength of 15 Shashtiyansha. While in odd sign Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn get a strength of a similar value in both Rasi and Navamsa.

Taurus

This is the second zodiac sign and 1st even sign ranging from 31 to 60 degrees and is called Taurus or Vrishabha. It is a constellation of stars which appears like the bull from the earth. Virgo

Scorpio

Capricorn

Pisces

This is the twelfth zodiac sign and sixth even sign ranging from 331o to 360 degreeso and is called Pisces/Meen. It is a constellation of stars which appear like an inverted pair of fish from the earth. The ruler of Pisces sign is Jupiter. Its gender is female. This watery sign has windy (Waat) Prakriti. They are fair, stout and moderately tall. The direction suitable for this Rashi is west. The remedial stone for Pisces are topaz, yellow sapphire and gold.
