The position of the Moon is very important in the calculation  of the Dasas. Every constellation (Nakshatra>)  covers 13 ½  degrees of the Zodiacal space. Each Nakshatra  has a planet assigned. Hence, the constellation occupied by the moon at the time of birth decides the Dasha of the planet in which an individual is born. The total of the different dashas ( periods) is 120 years. This is the natural life span of a human being.

Suppose a person is born at the time when the Moon is in 1st quarter of Mrigasira. Since Mars is the ruler of Mrigasira, hence the native is born in Mars dasha.

  • Duration of Venus Dasha - 20 years.

The Planet that is placed in the 10th house or the lord of 10th house dasha decides the professional Dasa and its sub periods. Every Planet has different results in their Dasha and Antardasha.
