Astrology Chart - Astrological Chart - Birth Chart

An astrology chart or, birth chart, is a symbolic representation to determine the position of planets in different houses at the time of a child’s birth. As per the rules of vedic astrology, each planet has been assigned an ownership of particular zodiac sign at a given moment, and it is the interpretation of this placement that provides astrologers with insight into a person’s personality and behavior. Since an astrology chart is based on facts i.e the actual positions of heavenly bodies at a certain time it is also known as astronomical study.

Steps To Create Astrological Chart

  • Draw three concentric circles on a piece of paper with the help of a compass. Keep in mind that the the innermost circle should be fairly small as compared to the outer circles.
  • Now, divide the space between the outer two circles into 12 equal sections and label each with 12 signs of the zodiac.
  • After, labelling the sections with its particular signs divide each sign into 30 equal degrees.
  • Now is the time to find the native’s ascendant sign by looking at his/her date of birth and time in an ascendant table in an ephemeris.
  • Analyze the ephemeris and mark the ascendant sign on the astrology chart.
  • Once the ascendant is located, determine the positions of the moon, sun, and planets, and mark them on the native’s chart.
  • Now, mark the draw the houses in the large space in the chart between the inner circle and the second circle.  Houses are specifically imaginary divisions divided into 12 parts, each one signifying an aspect of the life of the native such as money, children, family, personality, etc.
  • Now, calculate the aspects, which is an angle formed between a pair of celestial bodies, with earth as the center of the angle.
  • Consult a book on the interpretation of the planets in each sign and house and make observations on the subject's personality and behavior.
