Auspicious Planets | Favourable Planets

In Hindu astrology nine important planets are considered as affecting the terrestrial phenomena. 

The dictionary meaning of auspicious is ‘favourable’. Planets are like the parts of the bodies. Every part of the body has different functions and it is not possible to categorize any particular part as unfavourable. In the same way, all planets are auspicious in some way or the other. Some are naturally auspicious while some are auspicious on the basis of the placement and some on the basis of zodiac sign.

The naturally auspicious planets in the chronological order are Jupiter, Venus, unaspected Mercury and the Moon in bright phase. These planets are auspicious by default and they tend to produce benefic results during their Dasha and Antardasha. They can be considered as benefic by default and they are also benefic placed in the Kendra and Trikona. But, the same planets when placed in Trik bhavas becomes inauspicious i.e. it gives unfavourable results. 

Jupiter in Kendra Bhavas

1st house: This makes native healthy, intelligent, long life, attractive, beautiful, religious and rich.

4th house: This makes native, highly educated, affectionate to mother, honourable, learned and hard working. 

7th house: This makes native fortunate, beautiful life partner, submissive, self-complacent and satisfied.

10th house: This makes native famous, truthful, justified, head of the state and respectful.  

Venus in Kendra Bhavas

1st house: This makes native healthy, sweet voice, long life, attractive, beautiful, famous and sensual.

4th house: This makes native, beautiful, handsome, helping, happy, affectionate to mother, and famous.  

7th house: This makes native fortunate after marriage, beautiful life partner, submissive, wealthy and satisfied.

10th house: This makes native fortunate, popular in females, wealthy and resourceful. 

Waxing Moon in Kendra Bhavas

1st house: This makes native beautiful, joyful, fair, serving others and educated. 

4th house: This makes native, beautiful, rich, affectionate to mother and respectful in the society.  

7th house: This makes native passionate, handsome, successful and energetic in several matters. 

10th house: This makes native persuasive, charitable, bold , tactful, ambitious, active and long life. 

Benefic Mercury  in Kendra Bhavas

1st house: This makes native cheerful, humorous, learned, influential, intellectual, respected, long lived and a literary person. 

4th house: This makes native skilled in conjuring tricks, cultured, affectionate, popular and inclined to pursue literary activities. 

7th house: This makes native successful in early stages of life, dutiful and educated, successful in trade, charitable and a strong person.   

10th house: This makes native determined, fortunate, intelligent, cheerful, charitable and philanthropic. 

The natural inauspicious planets are Sun, Saturn, Mars, Rahu, Ketu, afflicted Mercury and Moon in its dark phase. These planets are inauspicious to some extent if placed in the Kendra and Trikona while if it is placed in the Trik bhavas it give favourable results. These are also called as naturally malefic planets.

Hence, we have to understand that no planet is completely auspicious or completely inauspicious. All planets have there specific role in the horoscope. If they are placed at their auspicious position they become auspicious. This phenomena is similar to the different parts of the body. No part of the body is completely auspicious or completely inauspicious. All have different functions in the body if they are healthy they function well.
