Consideration of Muhurta and Latta Dosha
Muhurta is as important as the birth-chart in astrology. As astrologers consider fortune of the person from horoscope, similarly they analyze Muhurat from Panchang (Hindu Calender).
We all have two types of thoughts, one is negative and the other one is positive. Astrologers say that if we begin any new project according to the Hindu calender then possibilities of success will increase. The Ascendant, Nakshatra, Tithi, day and Yoga should be considered for Muhurtha in the Panchang.
Suppose, you want to start a new business and you want to know whether it will be beneficial or not then the astrologer will find the Muhurat for this from Panchang.
Marriage plays an important role in life and should not be performed without Muhurta. The Muhurta of marriage should be found carefully, otherwise the presence of Dosha may create problems after marriage.
Let us consider how to find Muhurta for marriage and how to determine the presence of Dosha.
Latta Dosha
The first Dosha in the ten Doshas is the Latta Dosha. The meaning of “Latta” is “legs”. If any planet pulls or pushes to any specific Nakshatra on the day of marriage then Latta Dosha is present in the Muhurta of marriage.
According to vedic astrology, Sun will pull the 12th Nakshatra which is in front. Mars pulls the third Nakshatra which is in front of the Nakshatra of Mars. Jupiter and Saturn pull the 6th and 8th Nakshatra which are placed in front. The full Moon pushes the 22nd Nakshatra which is behind its Nakshatra. Mercury pushes the seventh Nakshatra and Venus pushes the fifth Nakshatra which is placed at the back of Venus. Rahu pushes the ninth Nakshatra which is placed behind its Nakshatra.
Generally, Latta dosha of any planet is not auspicious, but Latta Dosha of maleficent planets is very inauspicious. Marriage should not be performed if Latta Dosha is formed. Suppose Jupiter is placed in the Kritika Nakshatra then it will pull the Pushya Nakshatra, which is the sixth Nakshatra in front. Similarly, if Venus is in the Kritika Nakshatra then it will push the 5th Nakshatra Uttarabhadrapad which is behind this planet.
You should consider a chart to see the influence of different Nakshatras when they are pulled or pushed in Latta Dosha.
