The Importance of Rudraksha in life

In the same way, some people wear Rudraksha to solve their problems and to get mental peace. Rudraksha is believed to be the favourite ornament of lord Shiva since it originated from the tears flowing from his eyes.

Rudraksha is worn to accomplish a task. It also maintains peace and happiness among family members and spreads harmony in a family. It is also used for the worship of lord Shiva.

The positive effects of Rudraksha are visible within 40 days of wearing Rudraksha.

Rudraksha provides salvation to a person when it is worn with a proper procedure.

Rudraksha frees everyone from all the sins. It is believed that a person wearing Rudraksha gets the blessings of lord Shiva.

Precautions taken before buying a Rudraksha

There are different types of Rudraksha. Therefore, it is very difficult to check the authenticity of Rudraksha while buying it. Many shops in market claim to sell a genuine Rudraksha but the Rudraksha we get there is often fake. Due to this reason, a common buyer should check the authenticity of Rudraksha accurately.

You can check the authenticity of Rudraksha by one of the following methods.

A Rudraksha is genuine if it is not broken or cracked. It should be circular and should not break while making holes in it.

A Rudraksha is fake if it loses colour on boiling in water.

A Rudraksha is genuine if it drowns in water. It will keep floating, if it is fake.

The genuine Rudraksha yields fibre on being scratched with a sharp object.

Importance of a Rudraksha rosary and the number of Rudraksha in it

A rosary of Rudraksha provides various benefits to the person wearing it. These benefits depend on the number of seeds of Rudraksha present in the rosary.

A rosary with 100 seeds of Rudraksha gives salvation to a person.

Wearing a rosary of Rudraksha with 108 beads helps in accomplishing a task. A person wearing this rosary brings salvation for his ancestors.

A rosary of Rudraksha with 140 beads imparts courage, energy and good health.

Wearing a rosary of Rudraksha with 32 beads makes a person wealthy. In the same way, a rosary of Rudraksha with 16, 27 or 50 beads makes a person virtuous.

Worship and procedure of wearing Rudraksha

Some auspicious rituals to purify a Rudraksha are performed before wearing it. You should wear a rosary of Rudraksha on the Monday of Shukla Paksha.

A Rudraksha should be worn in an auspicious Muhurat. It is good to wear a Rudraksha on the day of Purnima, Sankranti or Amavasya.

It should be first dipped in Panchamrit made of milk, water and honey.

The rosary should be kept in front of a Shivlinga. Ash from Havan should be rubbed on it and one should chant Om Namah Shivaya while wearing it.

One should face the eastern or northern direction and should recite the Mantra while wearing a Rudraksha.

A rosary of Rudraksha can be worn in a golden or silver chain. It can also be worn in a red thread.
