Years of Gemini Mandook Dasha

Prepare a table of even and odd signs to determine the years of Jaimini Dasha. Now, count the position of the sign for which you want to determine the years of dasha from the planet lord of the sign. If the order of the dasha is clockwise then the counting will be done clockwise. In the example Kundali one of chapter one we have to determine the years of dasha for Aries sign. Now, we will begin the clockwise counting from Aries till Mars. There are five years from Aries till Mars which means that the dasha of Aries will be of five years. There will no deduction of one year like in the case of Char dasha.

The order of the dasha will be clockwise in the example Kundali 2. We will do the anti-clockwise counting in this Kundali from Aries till Mars. We get eleven years on counting from Aries till Mars which means that the dasha of Aries sign will be of eleven years.

The deduction of one year is not there in Jaimini Mandook dasha. The dasha of the planets present in their own signs is of 12 years. For example, Sun is present in its own sign in Kundali 1, therefore the dasha of Leo sign will be of 12 years. The dasha of planets coming in twelfth house when counted from their sign will also be of 12 years. There is no specific rule for Scorpio sign and Aquarius sign in Mandook Dasha. The counting of Rahu and Ketu is not included in this dasha.

If the planet lord of a sign is in the seventh house from its own house, then the dasha of the sign will be of ten years. For example, Saturn is situated in the seventh house from its own sign Capricorn. Therefore, the dasha of Capricorn sign will be of 10 years.

Period of Antardasha

The period of Antardasha will be according to the years of Mahadasha. If the Mahadasha is of two years, then the Antardasha will of two months. If the Antardasha is of 10 years, then the Antardasha of every sign will be of 10 months.
