Goddess Bhuvaneshwari is an eternal mother and nurturer. She is also known as Om Shakti or Adi Shakti, one of the earliest forms of shakti. This year, Bhuvaneshwari Jayanti will be celebrated on 26 September 2023. She is the manifestation of Lord Shiva. She is the most radiant and gentle of all the goddesses. She is the fourth of the ten Mahavidya goddesses and an aspect of Devi. Goddess Bhuvaneshwari holds a moon on her forehead and blessed with radiance and sharp features. She is considered as the supreme goddesses who creates everything and destroys evils of the world. A person who worships Goddess Bhuvaneshwari is blessed with power, strength, wisdom and wealth.

Appearance of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari

Goddess Bhuvaneshwari is the creator and the Queen of the Universe. She controls the consciousness of the entire world. She has been given an important place in the Gayatri Mantra. Goddess Bhuvaneshwari has one face and four hands. Two of her hands bless the devotees while the other two hold the noose and angusam. The whole universe is her body and she is the gold of all beings. She is a symbol of supreme power.

Her complexion is dark. Her nail depicts the entire universe. She has a radiance on her face and wears Moon in the form of her crown. Goddess has three eyes and four hands each in Varad Mudra, Ankush Mudra, Paash Mudra and Abhay Mudra.

Goddess Bhuvaneshwari Mantra

A person who chants Goddess Bhuivaneshwari’s mantra is blessed in various ways. It can also be chanted to please other gods and goddesses. Bhuvaneshwari Mantra, “ Om Aim Hreem Shreem Namah” (Mool Mantra), “ Hrum Om Kreem” (Treyakshari Mantra), “Aim Hrum Shreem Aim Hrum” (Panchokshari Mantra). A person who chants this mantras is blessed with wisdom and strength.

Rituals to worship Shri Bhuvaneshwari

Kalratri, Eclipse, Holi, Deepawali, MahaShivaratri, Krishna Paksha and Ashtami are considered to be auspicious to worship Goddess Bhuvaneshwari. The devotee should offer red flowers, rice, sandalwood, Rudraksha beads etc. to the goddess while performing the puja. Spread a red cloth and establish the goddess’s picture or idol on it to worship her.

The devotee should recite texts from Treyolokya Mangal Kawacham, Bhuvaneshwari Kawach, Shri Bhuvaneshwari Panjar Strot while worshipping Goddess Bhuvaneshwari. Perform homas, tarpan and offer food to girls. A person who worships her with full dedication gets all his wishes fulfilled. He is provided with protection against all evils in the world and gets freedom from the fear of the cycle of birth and death.
