Gandmool Nakshatra 2014 - Gand Mool Nakshatra Dates 2014 - Gand Mool Nakshatra

In the zodiac, out of the 27 Nakshatra, six nakshatra are called Gand mool Nakshatra. These Nakshatra are at the intersection of two signs, with one Nakshatra ends the sign and with the starting of another Nakshatra starts the second sign. Like at the end of Pisces sign is Revati Nakshatra and when this sign is over then starts the Aries sign with which starts the Ashwini Nakshatra. The Nakshatra of Mercury and Ketu is included in the Gand mool Nakshatra.

Revati, Ashwini, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyeshtha and Mool Nakshatra are considered to be Gand Mool Nakshatra. In any one of these Nakshatra it is believed that when the child is born it would not be auspicious either for the mother, father, their own self or for any other relative. For this, on the 27th day after the child’s birth a peace prayer should be done.

Is this time universal, or just based for India? Would we have to follow different times in the states? Thanks
