Amrit Siddhi Yoga - Amrit Siddhi Nakshatra

The Yogas that are favorable for native are called auspicious Yogas and those which are not favorable are called inauspicious Yogas. Appropriate Yoga selection depends on the basic five components of Panchang. These are:

  • 1)Tithi
  • 2) Nakshatra
  • 3) Vaar
  • 4) Yoga
  • 5) Karna

  • Apart from these the solar and lunar month and the sign rising in the eastern horizon or ascendant are considered to select a good Muhurat.

Yogas are formed by the permutations and combinations of different parts of Panchanga. Yoga is an important component of Muhurat after Tithi, Vaar, and Nakshatra.

The lunar day is from one sunrise to the next day sunrise. Good Yogas enhance the strength of Muhurat while bad Yogas prove to be disastrous for the activity undertaken during that time.

Astrologers say that the Amrit Siddhi Yoga is very auspicious for performing tasks. As the name suggest Amrit Siddhi Yoga means, any work undertaken during this time will have a positive outcome.

Works, plans and projects performed in this Yoga gives successful results without any obstruction to the native. You can consult a Panchang and find out when the Amrit Siddhi Yoga is formed on the basis of the above parameters, and start your projects during this period to achieve maximum results.

However, along with the combination of Day and Nakshatra, there are certain other things which should be checked along with Amrit Siddhi yoga. A person who wants to perform an auspicious work on this Yoga should check his/her favorable ascendant, Nakshatra which is also very important to carry out the job.

Position of the Moon, combustion or retrograde motion of planets, especially Jupiter and Venus need to be checked. Jupiter is the most benevolent planet and its presence in a Muhurat is of immense value.

Amrit Siddhi Yoga is created when some of the Nakshatras occurs on Var Vishesh. All auspicious tasks can be carried out during this time.

  • Hasta Nakshatra on Sunday.
  • Mrigashira Nakshatra on Monday.
  • Ashwini Nakshatra on Tuesday.
  • Anuradha Nakshatra on Wednesday.
  • Pushya Nakshatra on Thursday.
  • Revati Nakshatra on Friday.
  • Rohini Nakshatra on Saturday creates Amrit Siddhi Yoga.

  • There are also some activities which are prohibited in Amrit Siddhi Yoga. For example, if Amrit Siddhi Yoga occurs on a Tuesday then Griha Nirman and Griha Pravesh should not be carried out on this day.

One should not get married if this Yoga occurs on a Wednesday. Travelling is prohibited if this Yoga occurs on a Saturday. It is completely prohibited for the southern direction.

The aforesaid combinations formed with day and Nakshatra are inauspicious if certain Tithis are also joined with them, they become malefic and should be avoided. These are-

    Day Nakshatra Tithi
    Sunday Hasta Panchami
    Monday Mrigshira Shashthi
    Tuesday Ashwini Saptami
    Wednesday Anuradha Ashtami
    Thursday Pushya Navami
    Friday Revati Dashami
    Saturday Rohini Ekadashi

Like other malefic combinations with Tithi and day, these Yogas become bad and give bad results. These are also called Madhu Sarpis Yoga.
