Astrology has various systems to make predictions. Lal Kitab is one of them and it gives importance to houses rather than signs, but the Karakas are same as in Vedic astrology. These Karakas are known as fixed houses of the planets. In Lal Kitab if a house is not aspected by any planet then it is considered to be in sleep mode, but if the Sun is in the first house and Jupiter is in the second house, then the planet is considered to be awake. Anyone can perform these remedies without any specialized help. Lal Kitab was first written by Pandit Roop Chand Joshi in 1900 in Lahore, Punjab.

A Lal-Kitab remedy should be performed by the native for 40 to 43 days or for 40 to 43 weeks. The remedial process doesn’t require any Mantra but for 40 to 43 days one has to offer objects related with the afflicted planet into flowing water or can bury the object in the forest. As a result, a person can achieve success in his or her task without strenuous effort.

The object which has to be either buried in land or offered into water is usually not very expensive. Lal Kitab is becoming popular day by day on account of this. The remedies are simple, low cost and effective. In fact, every planet has energy and if a planet is malefic or afflicted, it will give negative effect. As per Lal Kitab remedies that when items related to the malefic planet are offered items related to that malefic planet, the negative impact from the same planet will go down. There is no requirement of special norms to perform a Totka except for making sure that the remedial procedure is carried out for 40 to 43 days. Another feature of Lal Kitab for is that it is open to people of all caste, creed, and religion. Lal Kitab has Banawati planet which is formed by the combination of two planets and has the influence of a separate planet. This is also a unique feature peculiar to Lal Kitab. For example, if Mars and Rahu are placed together in the twelfth house. The twelfth house is known for Moksha, expenses and open sky. Rahu Mangal Yog in this house together form Haathi Ankush Dosha.

Here Mars can take help from Jupiter and can control Rahu. Rahu in this house will make the native spend unnecessarily. The native will also end up getting involved in schemes which don’t fructify. The remedy for this is through Mars, for instance helping a sibling. The remedy involves keeping sugar in a pouch in the bedroom.
